    Michael (Mike) Cowles returned to Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2014 after retiring from a 39 year career with Chevron Corporation.   Mike has expertise in chemical and petro-chemical businesses.   He has a proven track record in optimizing operations, commercial agreement negotiations, product commercialization and acquisitions. His experience base includes:

    Mike graduated from WKU in 1975 with a BS degree.  Mike later attended Tulane University while living in New Orleans but was unable complete an MBA degree due to being transferred. During his career, Mike relocated 8 times in the U.S. and has worked in international locations exposing him to a wide diversity of the cultures and business practices.

    Mike and his wife (Barbara) reside in Alvaton.  They have 3 grown children who are scattered across the country; Melissa (Denver), Ryan (San Francisco) and Marybeth (Houston). Both Mike and Barbara volunteer within the community including Salvation Army and HOTEL Inc.
