Jim Cummings is the Chief Financial Officer at Western Kentucky University. His primary responsibilities include leadership and oversight of the departments of Accounting, Grants & Contracts Accounting, Bursar, ID Center, Payroll, Property & Casualty Insurance, Supply Chain Management, Tax Compliance, and Travel within the Division of Finance & Administration. Mr. Cummings has worked with the University for over 24 years, also serving as Manager, Payroll & Tax Compliance and as Manager, Budgets & Resources for the Division of Student Affairs & Campus Services. He worked for seven years in public accounting before joining WKU. He serves as a member of the BB&T Payment Solutions Advisory Board and was a charter member of the Portland Community Education Foundation. Mr. Cummings holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a graduate of the College Business Management Institute.
